16th December, 2023.
Stableford.
Today we played for the traditional Christmas Hams.
It was a fine Saturday, with temps. in the high teens. A fairly strong “breeze” blew from the west, to help with interest for the field of 29 players.
The course is holding up well, but still hard with plenty of run. We seem to have missed most of the recent of rain thru the week. The greens are still excellent however.
A few visitors from Colac and Geelong were welcomed to the competition this week. Great to have them along, and we appreciate the positive reviews they convey to us. (They didn’t escape with the Christmas Hams however).

Next Saturday is a “Mulligan’s” day. You will be able to buy “free” shots for a dollar each, to use to substitute a stroke for those moments of “brain fade” or other un-fortunate events. (The Shots are not the type that one would throw down the throat however, as Ros Brauer thought!)
