Monthly Medal.
Today’s event was stroke play. It was the “Hampden Hotel”, May Monthly Medal event.
Many thanks to Simon Myers, for his continued support of our club.
The weather was fine and mild, with minimal wind. It was quite a nice day for golf.
The course has greened up well, although still dry and dusty below. We need more rain, if anyone has connections to the “weather gods”.
It was a bit smoky on the bottom nine, as a result of the burning of the pine tree refuse over the past week. The left side of the 11th will be burned when the wind and weather are suitable. (A couple of my golf balls, from Saturday, will be burned a t the same time.)
A good field of 27 players competed in this week’s event. Two grades were declared.
RESULTS. A Grade: Winner – Simon Baker, 70 – 1 – 69. Privilege Pot, and May Monthly Medal winner.
