Stableford.
Due to some in-completed works regarding the coring of greens, today’s comp. involved playing the bottom nine twice.
Winter Course Ratings meant most handicaps were eased by 2 or 3 shots.
It was a fine and sunny afternoon, with a fairly keen wind from the north.
The course is fairly good. It had dried out well after last weeks damp conditions. More showers are forecast for the coming week.
Obviously the greens were challenging, having been cored late this week. They should recover quickly though.
15 players entered today. Many played early so they could watch that “game” on T.V. Others, I suspect, didn’t play at all for the same reason. I’m just glad I didn’t waste the day for that game!

RESULTS. (One Grade).
Winner – Billy Arnold (17), 42 points.
Runner-Up – Tim Fitzgerald (10), 41 points.

Encouragement Award.
This week the "Encouragement Award was won, on a countback, by Jeff Collins with 28 points. – (Still feels like he is on holiday).

Next Saturday is the October Monthly Medal. Stroke, and all of the usual trappings of the Monthly Medal events.
