Monthly Medal.

Today’s event was stroke play. It was the “Keystone Golf” July Monthly Medal event.
Many thanks to the generous Sponsor at “Keystone Golf” for his ongoing support of our club.

The weather was fine and cool, with minimal wind.
The course remains in good condition. The grass has basically stopped growing, so areas of less than ideal coverage will probably last till springtime. This is why we have “preferred lies”. The greens continue to look and play well. Surprisingly, low scores were difficult to attain.

A field of 28 players competed in this week’s event. This enabled two grades to be declared.

RESULTS. A Grade: Winner – Peter Gubbins, 86 – 13 – 73. Privilege Pot, and July Monthly Medal winner.
A Grade: Runner-Up – Simon Baker, 76 – 1 – 75.

B Grade: Winner – Jake Bateman, 95 – 18 – 77. (C/B).
B Grade: Runner-up – Norm Tonks, 93 – 16 – 77.
